Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join a major nationally significant infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will lead environmental management across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards while driving sustainability initiatives.

As part of the SHE team, you will advise on environmental risks, engage with stakeholders and contractors, and contribute to continuous improvement within a large-scale

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Environmental, Sustainability or related discipline.
• IEMA membership or working towards membership.
• Strong understanding of environmental management principles.
• Experience on major infrastructure, construction or engineering projects.
• Experience supporting environmental compliance in complex project environments.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice.
• Experience in large-scale project delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to influence diverse teams with environmental guidance.
• Experience on nationally significant infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Chartered status or progress towards accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental management activities across the project.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits and standards.
• Monitor, review and report environmental performance and compliance.
• Support teams in identifying and managing environmental risks and opportunities.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and controls.
• Conduct audits, inspections and assessments and address findings.
• Provide environmental guidance to stakeholders and contractors.
• Collaborate to promote best practice and achieve objectives.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Support milestones while maintaining environmental standards.
