Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join the SHE team, delivering environmental support for major national infrastructure projects across the Southeast. You will help ensure compliance with legislation, permits, and company standards while promoting best practices on live and upcoming schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in an environmental discipline or a related subject.
• Membership of, or willingness to work towards membership of, a recognised professional body such as IEMA.
• Relevant environmental experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or a related sector.
• Experience providing environmental support on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of environmental legislation and environmental management systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to develop professionally.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Full commitment to supporting safe, sustainable, and environmentally responsible project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice and support to project teams across a range of infrastructure schemes.
• Assist in ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with environmental legislation, regulations, permits, and company standards.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of environmental management plans and associated documentation.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and site visits, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to promote environmental best practice.
• Support environmental incident investigations and assist in identifying preventative measures.
• Contribute to environmental reporting, monitoring, and data collection activities.
• Help drive continuous improvement initiatives and environmental performance across projects.
• Promote sustainability and environmental awareness throughout project delivery.
