PE Global is recruiting an Environmental Engineer for our personal care client based in Barrow-In-Furness. The role is an initial 3-month position with a rate range of £22.33 - £29.53 per hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the implementation of process and management system opportunities to ensure legislative compliance and exceed performance standards.
2. Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System to meet corporate and internationally recognized standards.
3. Ensure all critical legal and corporate reporting requirements are met.
4. Collaborate with the Environment Agency and other authorities to ensure permit conditions are agreed upon and complied with.
5. Influence process design and development in environmental management across UK Mills.
6. Provide reactive and proactive EHS support to Barrow Mill.
7. Support the collection of monitoring data.
8. Understand the capabilities and limitations of existing process designs and identify opportunities for improvement in asset efficiency.
9. Advise Managers and Senior Engineers on legislative environmental requirements.
10. Guide the design of new plant and equipment to ensure environmental best practices.
11. Oversee and support effluent plant operations, ensuring compliance and optimization of water recycling.
