Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking an Environmental Crime Officer to join the Environmental Crime Unit within Housing, Regeneration and Operations at The Weighbridge Site, Cromer Road, Northwood. You will carry out enforcement across the city, including fly tipping, littering, dog fouling, defacement, and related offences.

Responsibilities include supporting enforcement services city-wide, handling low level ASB linked to environmental issues, and taking action such as FPNs and CPWs/CPNs in

Qualifications

Experience dealing with the public in difficult situations.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work unsociable hours.
Understanding and commitment to high quality customer and enforcement service.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of environmental enforcement services across the city.
Identify and respond to low level ASB linked to environmental issues.
Take appropriate enforcement action including issuing FPNs, CPWs and CPNs.
Undertake high visibility and covert patrols in hotspot areas to deter and respond to offences.
