Job summary

Bradford Council is seeking Environmental Enforcement Officers to join the Harris Street Depot team. The role covers the Bradford district, tackling waste crime and environmental offences with CCTV and enforcement powers.

You will work with the Police on stop-and-search operations and engage with the public and businesses to promote compliance. You will be responsible for responding to reports of fly tipping, littering, dog fouling, and waste offences, and for taking formal enforcement action

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in enforcement, regulatory, or investigative roles.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Full UK driving licence with business-use insurance.
• Fluency in English evidenced in application per Immigration Act 2016.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reports of fly tipping, littering, dog fouling, and waste offences.
• Investigate commercial and residential waste offences and ensure legal disposal.
• Conduct CCTV surveillance and deploy cameras at environmental crime hotspots.
• Take formal enforcement action including fixed penalties and prosecutions.
