At Mller Milk & Ingredients, we're passionate about producing high-quality dairy products while protecting the environment. We're looking for a dedicated Environmental Compliance Manager to help us lead the way in sustainable and responsible manufacturing across our UK sites.
The Role
This is new role created due to business growth and demand. As our Environmental Compliance Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for ensuring our operations meet all environmental laws, permits, and standards. You'll work closely with site teams, regulators, and our sustainability group to reduce environmental risks and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits across all MMI sites.
- Lead environmental audits and inspections, and support corrective actions.
- Develop and implement standardised environmental procedures (aligned with ISO 14001).
- Investigate environmental incidents and support root cause analysis.
- Deliver training and upskill site teams on environmental best practices.
- Collaborate with the Sustainability team on waste reduction and resource efficiency.
- Maintain environmental records and regulatory submissions.
- Travel to sites regularly (approx. 50% of the time).
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Recognised environmental qualification (e.g., IEMA).
- Experience in environmental compliance, ideally in food or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental regulations and ISO 14001.
- Excellent communication, training, and influencing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
