Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd in the Norfolk/East Anglia area seeks an Environmental Consultant to join the Environmental Claims Division. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and home-based work, with a need for professional, personable candidates who show initiative and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include on-site surveys, data interpretation, and cost planning for remedial works.

Qualifications

A minimum of two years’ experience in environmental services and consulting or transferable skills/experience in related sectors.
A qualification in Environmental Sciences, Geology, Construction, Building/Building Surveying or Engineering is preferred but not essential.
A full, clean UK driving licence is a prerequisite.
Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

On-site surveys of domestic properties including collection of vapour, soil and groundwater samples.
Compilation and interpretation of field and analytical data.
Preparation of reports, tables, and figures for reports.
Scoping remedial works and preparing costs for scoped works.
Planning and scheduling labour, plant and materials for works.
Supervision of staff/subcontractors during investigations/remedial works.
