Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a Consultant to join our Environmental Claims Division. The role is home based in the UK, requiring a full, clean UK driving licence and strong communication, organisation and analytical skills to support domestic property surveys and data interpretation.

You will compile reports, cost scoping, plan labour and materials, and liaise with clients and stakeholders. The role offers training, a company vehicle or allowance, and enhanced sickness pay, with 23

Qualifications

• Two years’ environmental services/consulting experience or transferable skills.
• Qualification in Environmental Sciences, Geology, Engineering preferred but not essential.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is a pre-requisite.
• Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Effective written and oral communication and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• On site surveys of domestic properties collecting vapour, soil and groundwater samples.
• Compilation and interpretation of field and analytical data for reports.
• Preparation of reports, tables and figures.
• Scoping remedial works and preparing cost estimates.
• Planning and scheduling labour, plant and materials.
• Supervision of staff/subcontractors and engagement with stakeholders.
