£32,526 - £35,436 per annum, pro rata, dependant on experience and level of qualifications

37 hours per week

At Abingdon and Witney College, we're serious about tackling climate change. We are currently looking for a practical, hands-on Environmental and Sustainability Adviser to help us measure, report on, and reduce our carbon footprint across the college.

This is an exciting new role for someone who's passionate about sustainability and ready to make a real difference at a local level. Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing the college's Environmental and Sustainability Strategy.
• Identifying areas where we can cut our carbon footprint-and helping to plan and deliver those improvements.
• Working closely with college departments to support greener working practices.
• Delivering campaigns and projects that raise awareness of sustainability among staff and students.
• Monitoring environmental performance and preparing reports on the College's achievement of the Strategy.
• Keeping up to date with environmental standards, legislation, and funding opportunities.

What we are looking for:

• Someone with experience or knowledge in environmental management, carbon reduction, and sustainability, with a minimum Level 3 relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of the UK environmental legislation.
• A confident communicator who can work across teams and encourage positive change.
• Strong project management and reporting skills.

This role offers the option of 52 weeks per annum or Term Time Only (38 weeks per annum, paid for 43.13 weeks per annum) providing flexibility to suit the right candidate, with a minimum of hours at 22.5 worked.
