Job summary

Laing O'Rourke seeks an Environmental Advisor to support a flagship power upgrade project. You will split time between the Dartford/Bury St Edmunds offices and field sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and championing sustainable practices across the construction phase.

Responsibilities include site environmental audits, training, and reporting, with travel across the Norwich to Tilbury route for the ATNC works.

Qualifications

• Experience as Environmental Advisor in construction or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation for large infrastructure.
• Experience in-field environmental monitoring tasks.
• Understanding of ISO 14001 EMS and CEMP requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Qualified in environmental science or sustainability.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel on site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage environmental compliance on-site.
• Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections.
• Engage with project managers, contractors, and regulators to mitigate risks.
• Provide expert training on environmental best practices.
• Support implementation of EMS and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation.
