Principal People are recruiting an Environmental Advisor to support major infrastructure projects across the South Coast on a hybrid basis. You will provide practical environmental guidance to site teams, implement strategies and ensure compliance across the framework.

Qualifications

• A relevant Environmental Qualification (ISEP or Equivalent) or Degree.
• Experience working within construction, infrastructure or utilities sector.
• A good understanding of environmental legislation, compliance and environmental management systems.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence operational teams.
• ISEP Practitioner membership, or working towards it, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical environmental advice and guidance to site and operational teams across the framework.
• Supporting the implementation of environmental strategies, policies and management systems.
• Conducting site inspections, environmental audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigating environmental incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitoring environmental performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting subcontractors and supply chain partners in meeting environmental requirements.
• Building effective relationships with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.
