Principal People Recruitment are working with a leading infrastructure contractor to recruit an Environmental Advisor supporting projects across the South Coast on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on ensuring environmental compliance, driving improvements in standards, and embedding best practices across multiple sites within major infrastructure frameworks.

Qualifications

• Relevant Environmental Qualification (ISEP or equivalent) or Degree.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure or utilities sector.
• Solid understanding of environmental legislation and EMS.
• Strong communication skills to engage operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical environmental advice to site and operational teams.
• Support implementation of environmental strategies, policies and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, environmental audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support subcontractors and supply chain partners in meeting environmental requirements.
• Build effective relationships with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.
