Job summary

Principal People Recruitment is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support infrastructure projects across the South Coast on a hybrid basis. You will provide practical environmental guidance to site teams and help implement strategies, policies and management systems.

The role requires an environmental qualification or degree, construction sector experience, knowledge of legislation and strong communication skills. ISEP membership or progress toward it is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A relevant Environmental Qualification (ISEP or Equivalent) or Degree.
• Experience working within construction, infrastructure or utilities sector.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, compliance and environmental management systems.
• ISEP Practitioner membership, or working towards it is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical environmental advice and guidance to site and operational teams across the framework.
• Support implementation of environmental strategies, policies and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, environmental audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support subcontractors and supply chain partners in meeting environmental requirements.
• Build effective relationships with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.
