Job summary

Principal People are recruiting an Environmental Advisor to support major infrastructure projects along the South Coast on a hybrid basis. The role combines working with an experienced environmental team to ensure compliance and drive improvements across sites.

You will provide practical guidance, support strategy implementation, conduct inspections and audits, and engage with stakeholders. The position offers CPD, progression and a company car/allowance as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Relevant environmental qualification (ISEP or equivalent) or degree.
• Experience working within construction, infrastructure or utilities sector.
• Good understanding of environmental legislation and EMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical environmental advice to site and operational teams.
• Support the implementation of environmental strategies, policies and EMS.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support subcontractors and supply chain to meet environmental requirements.
