Kier Group is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support sustainability across live construction sites and pre-construction activities in Central London or Buckinghamshire. You will work with the Environmental Manager to embed environmental mitigation and drive sustainability innovations.

Ideal candidates will have experience in environmental roles within construction, knowledge of BREEAM/LEED/WELL, and the ability to report KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in an environmental or similar role, ideally within construction.
• Knowledge of construction sustainability schemes such as BREEAM, LEED or WELL.
• Experience setting, measuring and communicating environmental KPIs.

Responsabilités

• Support the Environmental Manager with tender submissions and incorporate environmental mitigation and sustainability innovations into projects.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits using the Novade platform, ensuring legal and system compliance.
• Review environmental incidents and develop learning outcomes to improve practices.
• Collate and prepare sustainability information to report progress against objectives and targets.
• Chair meetings with operational staff to drive the sustainability agenda across the business.

We're looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our Construction team based in Central London or Buckinghamshire.

Location: Central London or Buckinghamshire

Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking an Environmental Advisor to support a diverse range of projects in delivering Kier's Sustainability Framework and maintaining environmental compliance. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference across both live construction projects and our pre-construction team, helping to shape best practice and drive sustainable solutions.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in achieving sustainability goals and maintaining environmental excellence. Your day to day will include:

• Supporting the Environmental Manager with tender submissions, to ensure relevant environmental mitigation and sustainability innovations are incorporated into projects,
• Conducting environmental inspections and audits using Kier's Novade platform, ensuring legal and system compliance,
• Reviewing environmental incidents and developing learning outcomes to continuously improve our practices,
• Collating and preparing sustainability information to report progress against agreed objectives and targets,
• Chairing meetings with operational staff to drive the sustainability agenda and share best practice across the business.

What are we looking for?

This role of Environmental Advisor is great for you if:

• You have a genuine passion for the environment and sustainability and a drive to reduce carbon emissions, encourage circular economy and improve resource efficiency,
• You have experience working in an environmental or similar role, ideally within construction,
• You have knowledge of construction sustainability schemes such as BREEAM, LEED or WELL,
• You have experience setting, measuring and communicating environmental KPIs,
• You hold a Full driving licence and are willing to travel to sites regularly.
