Job summary

ISS, a leader in workplace and facility management, is seeking an Environmental Management Specialist to support compliance and best practices. The role involves leading site audits, managing the ISO14001 Environmental Management System, and collaborating with clients to drive environmental initiatives. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience with ISO14001, a degree in an environmental discipline, and the ability to pass BPSS security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO14001, preferably in a similar role.
• Security clearance – ability to pass BPSS.
• ISO14001 Lead Auditor certification (desired).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the customer's internal audit programme remains compliant.
• Assist with external certification audits as requested.
• Contribute to continual improvement opportunities.

In this role, you will be supporting advice and guidance around compliance and best practices in environmental management. You will lead site audits and support compliance at the site level.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the customer's internal audit programme remains compliant and on track
• Support action management
• Assist with external certification audits as requested
• Support incident investigations
• Assist the wider team and customer in maintaining the ISO14001 EMS, including document reviews and engaging with key decision-makers to improve processes
• Contribute to continual improvement opportunities with the customer
• Support meeting and network groups, action management as needed
• Participate in ISS Sustainability Team programmes relevant to the customer, such as environmental awareness campaigns, innovation trackers, and ideas incubator

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

• Experience with ISO14001, preferably in a similar role with a high-profile client
• Security clearance – ability to pass BPSS
• ISO14001 Lead Auditor certification (desired)
• Membership in professional bodies such as Graduate IEMA or other environmental organizations (desired)
• Degree in Environmental Discipline and relevant professional qualifications
• Experience with data solutioning
