Job description

Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a food and beverage manufacturing business which are looking to recruit a Environmental Advisor. The ideal candidate has hands on experience advising on Environmental and Sustainability strategy.

This is an exciting time to join a business which are on a BCORP journey and will support a candidate have a career within the Environmental scope of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure site compliance with environmental permits and relevant UK legislation, including waste management, effluent discharge, emissions, and noise control.
• Monitor and analyse environmental performance data (energy, water, waste, and emissions), producing reports and identifying areas for improvement.
• Lead and support internal audits and inspections, maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the primary contact for environmental regulators, preparing documentation and facilitating site visits, inspections, and permit renewals.
• Deliver environmental training and awareness sessions to operational teams, promoting a culture of compliance and sustainability across the site.
• Support the implementation of sustainability projects, such as energy efficiency upgrades, waste reduction programmes, and carbon footprint reporting.

• up to £40,000 DOE
• Monday to Friday
• 33 days AL
• 3/5 pension.
