A leading food and beverage manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Advisor to assist in their BCORP journey. The role involves ensuring compliance with UK environmental regulations, monitoring performance, and driving sustainability projects. Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a food and beverage manufacturing business which are looking to recruit a Environmental Advisor. The ideal candidate has hands on experience advising on Environmental and Sustainability strategy.
This is an exciting time to join a business which are on a BCORP journey and will support a candidate have a career within the Environmental scope of manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure site compliance with environmental permits and relevant UK legislation, including waste management, effluent discharge, emissions, and noise control.
Monitor and analyse environmental performance data (energy, water, waste, and emissions), producing reports and identifying areas for improvement.
Lead and support internal audits and inspections, maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the primary contact for environmental regulators, preparing documentation and facilitating site visits, inspections, and permit renewals.
Deliver environmental training and awareness sessions to operational teams, promoting a culture of compliance and sustainability across the site.
Support the implementation of sustainability projects, such as energy efficiency upgrades, waste reduction programmes, and carbon footprint reporting.

Monday to Friday
33 days AL
