Job summary

Principal People Recruitment seeks an Environmental Advisor to support major infrastructure projects across Thames Valley on a hybrid basis. You will provide practical environmental guidance to site teams and help implement robust environmental policies and management systems.

With a relevant qualification and construction sector experience, you will conduct audits, investigations and drive improvements in environmental performance while engaging stakeholders and subcontractors to meet

Qualifications

• ISEP or equivalent environmental qualification or degree.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure or utilities sectors.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and EMS.
• ISEP Practitioner membership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical environmental advice to site and operational teams.
• Support implementation of environmental strategies, policies and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, environmental audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support subcontractors and supply chain partners in meeting environmental requirements.

Environmental Advisor - up to £50,000 + Package - Infrastructure - Thames Valley - Hybrid

Are you an Environmental Advisor looking for an opportunity to make a real impact on major infrastructure projects while developing your career with an established contractor?

Principal People are working with a leading infrastructure contractor, recognised for its commitment to employee development and career progression, to recruit an Environmental Advisor supporting projects across the Thames Valley on a hybrid basis.

Working alongside an experienced and supportive environmental team, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, driving improvements in standards and embedding best practices across projects.

What will you be doing?

• Building effective relationships with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.

What are they looking for?

• A relevant Environmental Qualification (ISEP or Equivalent) or Degree.
• Experience working within construction, infrastructure or utilities sector.
• A good understanding of environmental legislation, compliance and environmental management systems.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence operational teams.
• ISEP Practitioner membership, or working towards it, would be advantageous.
