Job summary

Principal People Recruitment is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support major infrastructure projects in the Thames Valley on a hybrid basis. You will provide practical environmental guidance to site and operations teams and help embed best practices.

The role offers a salary up to £50,000 plus benefits including pension, car or allowance, private medical insurance, 28 days leave, and CPD opportunities as you progress within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Relevant environmental qualification (ISEP or Equivalent) or degree.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure or utilities sector.
• Understanding of environmental legislation and environmental management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical environmental advice and guidance to site and operational teams across the framework.
• Support the implementation of environmental strategies, policies and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, environmental audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support subcontractors and supply chain partners in meeting environmental requirements.
• Build effective relationships with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.

Are you an Environmental Advisor looking for an opportunity to make a real impact on major infrastructure projects while developing your career with an established contractor?

Principal People are working with a leading infrastructure contractor, recognised for its commitment to employee development and career progression, to recruit an Environmental Advisor supporting projects across the Thames Valley on a hybrid basis.

Working alongside an experienced and supportive environmental team, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, driving improvements in standards and embedding best practices across projects.
