Prospero Teaching is seeking individuals interested in a career as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. Previous experience working with children or supporting adults with additional needs is preferred, but not essential if you have a strong desire to start in this field.

We collaborate with schools that support students with moderate and complex learning difficulties, autism, speech & language challenges, and social, emotional & mental health needs.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Providing tailored support to children with SEMH and SEN needs.
2. Creating a safe, engaging environment where children can learn and succeed.
3. Offering academic support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
4. Assisting the classroom teacher.

Ideal Candidate:

• Teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, either voluntarily or professionally.
• Experience working with children in youth settings, such as Brownies, Guides, Scouts, DofE, or as a sports coach.

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract: Temporary, with potential for permanent roles
• Minimum Daily Rate: GBP 85
• Hours: Term-time, Monday to Friday

Eligibility Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Two professional child-related references from the last two years
