Job summary
BT Group in Bristol is seeking an OSS Design Professional at entry level to design and develop RAN OSS tools and Trace Management to support the ESN contract. You will collaborate with RAN, Platform and IP Designers to ensure OSS designs support radio and transmission technologies.
You will gain hands-on experience in coding, automation and data analysis while learning from experienced engineers, shaping the future of 2G/4G/5G services and network solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python coding and Unix/Linux scripting (BASH, PERL).
- Knowledge of IP networks, virtual machines and cloud-hosted solutions.
- Experience with databases and interpreting complex data to derive design guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RAN OSS tools and Trace Management to support ESN.
- Collaborate with RAN, Platform and IP Designers to ensure OSS designs meet radio/transmission needs.
- Work with technical and non-technical users to propose strategies for predicting, planning and visualising RAN data.
- Assist in resolving customer issues related to RAN data and promote design reuse across the network.
