Job summary

GT Stewart Solicitors is seeking a First Line IT Support Engineer in Birmingham. You will provide frontline technical assistance across the firm, handling hardware, software and Microsoft 365 queries while travelling to other GT Stewart offices as required.

The role offers hybrid working after probation and opportunities to develop skills in Azure, Citrix and networking within a forward-thinking legal practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or service desk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to colleagues via telephone, email, remote support and in person.
• Log and resolve IT support requests via the helpdesk system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers and peripheral issues, escalating as needed.
• Assist with user account management in Microsoft 365 and AD.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
