Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a Primary Arrival- Hanging Operative to join our Hereford site. You will work on the production line, ensuring bird welfare and compliance with food safety rules, with full training provided and shift patterns across early hours.

The role offers 40 hours per week, with overtime available, a site-based contract, and on-site facilities. Good English, numeracy and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure birds are correctly placed on the production line while maintaining bird welfare standards.
• Assist with lifting tasks on a repetitive basis (approximately 2 kg per bird) and handling crates up to 15 kg.
• Follow health and safety rules and food safety procedures at all times.
• Comply with department and company policies and guidelines.
• Carry out supervisor directions and contribute to a safe, efficient workflow.
