Job summary

Autotrader is hiring a Technical Writer for its Commercial Data Operations team on a 12-month FTC. You will document Fleetware—our Enterprise Fleet and Asset Management system—and produce user guides, API docs and release notes.

You’ll work with developers, testers and clients to ensure clarity, accuracy and stability of documentation while exploring new ways to communicate complex information. You’ll translate technical details for varied audiences, script engaging tutorials, and support

Qualifications

• Translate complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Produce Software User Guides and API Documentation using Framemaker.
• Collaborate with developers/testers to author release notes, training materials.
• Show curiosity about how products work; create engaging tutorials.
• Support QA by testing new releases to gain product expertise.
• Seek new ways to communicate information internally and externally.
• Use Jira and Confluence to collaborate and track documentation.
• Attend meetings across development, business squads and clients.

Responsibilities

• Author a range of technical documentation including release notes, training guides and user manuals.
• Maintain clear technical communications for Fleetware users and internal teams.
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure accurate, timely documentation.
• Contribute to documentation strategy and adopt innovative formats for accessibility.
