Job summary

M&G plc is seeking a Senior Resource Planning Manager in Scotland to lead enterprise‑wide resource and capacity planning. You will shape long‑term strategies, align with business goals, customer outcomes, and financial objectives, while partnering with Commercial, Finance, Digital and Operations to model the impact of strategic initiatives.

You will drive the end‑to‑end planning cycle, maintain robust models, and oversee third‑party suppliers to ensure resilient service delivery and cost

Qualifications

• Track record of team leadership and coaching.
• Proven experience in resource planning across contact centres, back office and complaints.
• Strong understanding of forecasting and planning principles.
• Deep understanding of customer service and how to drive improvements.
• Experience of resource modelling, planning and forecasting.
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a complex environment.
• Experience with senior stakeholder management and third‑party partners.
• Experience of working with outsourcers in an operational environment.
• Knowledge of service performance metrics and their links to planning outcomes.
• Analytical and critical thinking with the ability to translate patterns into actions.
• Understanding of insurance products and the FS industry.
• Knowledge of workforce management solutions for operational domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation’s long‑term resource and capacity planning strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end planning cycles including supply management and real‑time optimisation.
• Develop and maintain strategic resource plans for all service areas and channels.
• Provide insights on future resourcing needs and risk mitigation for investment decisions.
• Set governance for planning lifecycle and ensure plans are accurate and actionable.
• Coordinate with outsourcing partners to safeguard service delivery and performance.
