Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to guide UK enterprises in adopting Claude across operations, products, and workflows. You will be the Claude Platform expert, advising engineering teams on architecture, evaluation, and deployment while engaging CIO/CTO sponsorship to illustrate business value.

The role requires senior technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration with Enterprise AEs, and travel across the UK to implement multi-quarter engagements with customers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
• Pre-sales or technical advisory experience selling into large enterprises in the UK.
• Experience presenting a business case to C-level/VP stakeholders.
• Production experience with LLM-powered applications, including prompt engineering and deployment at scale.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical side of opportunities with Enterprise Account Executives and Applied AI Architects.
• Advise customers on evaluation, architecture, and deployment of Claude in their operations.
• Build and present business value cases linking technical capabilities to outcomes such as cost, revenue, risk, and time-to-market.
• Navigate long procurement cycles with security, legal, and governance reviews.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed enterprise patterns back to the wider team.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK.
