Job summary

Decagon seeks an Agent Deployment Engineer to lead end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. This highly technical role requires delivering production-grade solutions, defining success with customers, and partnering with internal teams to scale enterprise deployments.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and GTM to ship customer‑facing technical work, balancing hands-on execution with structured planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role.
• Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
• Strong technical foundation: coding, APIs, end-to-end integrations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior technical stakeholders.
• Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from scoping to production deployment.
• Design and engineer the core agent logic to optimize quality and reliability across non-deterministic outputs.
• Engineer and validate guardrails and supervisory controls for safe, compliant agent performance.
• Architect, build, and test integrations with customer systems (data pipelines, CRMs, ticketing) for scalable deployments.
• Interface with senior stakeholders to define success criteria and drive technical delivery.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve failures via root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Design evaluation/regression tests to guard against performance drift.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and feedback with Engineering.
• Collaborate with APMs, Engineering, Design, and GTM for repeatable agent builds.
