Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust seeks a dynamic leader to head an enhanced care team, overseeing operations, budget and clinical governance in the emergency department and wards. You will mentor staff, allocate resources, and drive trauma-informed, psychological safety across the multidisciplinary team.

The role requires postgraduate leadership credentials or equivalent experience, plus current registration with NMC/HCPC or Social Work England.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in leadership, advanced practice or a specialty, or equivalent experience.
• Mentorship course or equivalent.
• Management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Current NMC (RMN), HCPC (AHP) or Social Work England registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide operational management and clinical oversight of enhanced care.
• Manage the enhanced care budget, clinical governance, staff development and training.
• Assess patients and allocate resources across the emergency department and inpatient wards.
• Lead and motivate junior staff, modelling a psychologically safe, trauma-informed approach.
• Give professional and inspirational leadership to the multi-disciplinary team.
• Set up and review systems for planning, providing and reviewing enhanced care.
• Oversee therapeutic engagement and interventions for patients with mental health conditions, cognitive impairment or psychological distress.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders, including the Liaison Psychiatry Service.
• Help develop protocols, guidelines and patient information.
• Report regularly on team effectiveness in reducing restrictive practices and incidents of harm.
