Job Title: English Tutor with SEN Experience

Location: England, Greater London, Richmond

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours

Job Duties:
  • Provide tailored English tutoring sessions to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Implement creative and engaging teaching strategies to support students' progress
  • Assess student's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student's needs
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching
  • In-depth knowledge of English language and literature
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Training in specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia or autism
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily in a classroom or tutoring centre setting
  • Potential travel to student's homes or other locations
  • Collaboration with school staff, parents, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
