You will work with teachers to identify focus areas, provide feedback, maintain confidentiality, and uphold safeguarding procedures to promote pupils' welfare.

Responsibilities

• Tutor small groups to support pupils with specific educational needs to reach academic goals.
• Provide high-level teaching in English for years 7–11.
• Establish productive relationships with pupils and set high expectations.
• Liaise with classroom teachers to identify focus areas for intervention.
• Provide objective feedback to teachers.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
• Follow safeguarding guidance and report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer.

The role:

• Work in small groups with pupils in personalised tutoring sessions, supporting individual pupils with their specific educational requirements, in order to enable them to achieve their academic goals.
• To provide high level of teaching in specialist subject for year groups 7 - 11
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
• To liaise with classroom teachers and curriculum leaders to identify focus areas for intervention.
• To provide objective and accurate feedback to teachers
• To ensure strict confidentiality in all areas of work
• To understand and comply with the statutory guidance regarding safeguarding of children, always ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer immediately.
