Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a tutor to work with small groups of KS3/KS4 pupils in Maths, delivering targeted tuition during timetabled lessons.

You will support individual learners in years 7–11, build productive relationships, liaise with teachers to identify focus areas, and provide timely feedback while upholding safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high level of teaching in maths for years 7–11
  • Establish productive relationships with pupils, modelling high expectations
  • Liaise with classroom teachers and curriculum leaders to identify intervention focus areas
  • Provide objective and accurate feedback to teachers
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of work
  • Understand and comply with safeguarding guidance and report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer

Job description

We are delighted to invite applicants to join our team to tutor small groups of our KS3/KS4 pupils in Maths.

The role requires working in small groups to ensure high-quality and impactful tuition. Tutoring will be delivered during the timetabled lesson.

The role:

  • Work in small groups with pupils in personalised tutoring sessions, supporting individual pupils with their specific educational requirements, in order to enable them to achieve their academic goals.
  • To provide high level of teaching in specialist subject for year groups 7 - 11
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • To liaise with classroom teachers and curriculum leaders to identify focus areas for intervention.
  • To provide objective and accurate feedback to teachers
  • To ensure strict confidentiality in all areas of work
  • To understand and comply with the statutory guidance regarding safeguarding of children, always ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer immediately.
