Job summary

Step Teachers in Ipswich is seeking flexible Supply English Teachers for ongoing roles across local secondary schools (KS3–KS4). These opportunities offer variety and the chance to positively impact pupils’ learning and progression.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, adapt to different settings, manage behaviour, support pupil progress, and liaise with staff to ensure continuity. QTS and safeguarding commitment required; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

  • QTS is essential and recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience delivering English in secondary schools.
  • Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.

Supply English Teachers – Flexible, ongoing roles starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Ipswich, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Duties as a Supply English Teacher:
