We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher to join a secondary school based in Wigan from September 2025. The school is OFSTED rated ‘Good’ and the staff pride themselves on creating an inclusive and supporting learning environment for all pupils.
This is a great opportunity for an ECT looking to start their teaching career, or an experienced teacher seeking an exciting, new role.
About the Role:
As an English teacher, you will create and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all learning needs are catered for. You will assess pupils using both formal and informal assessments and provide verbal and written feedback. Additionally, you will work closely with SLT and support staff to provide updates on academic progress and work together to implement interventions when necessary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
