Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an ambitious English Teacher to join a high-performing department in a school that invests in professional development. The role is temporary and offers CPD opportunities, streamlined planning to reduce burnout, and collaborative support.

You will deliver lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications, using data to drive progress and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) mandatory.
• Degree: BA/MA in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) and a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in line with the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Use assessment data to drive progress and support student growth.
• Maintain a focused, inclusive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
• Act as a Form Tutor, supporting students’ holistic well-being.
