Randstad Education in Bodmin is seeking an ambitious English Teacher for KS3 & KS4 on a temporary basis. The role offers scale-matched pay (£140 - £233 per day), immediate start, and a collaborative English department that invests in your professional development through bespoke CPD and streamlined planning to reduce burnout.

You will deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, use data to drive progress, lead a class with strong behaviour management, and act as Form Tutor supporting

Qualifications

• QTS is mandatory for this role.
• Degree: BA/MA in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum across KS3 and KS4 aligned with National Curriculum and GCSE English.
• Use assessment data to track progress and close attainment gaps.
• Maintain an inclusive, well-managed classroom with effective behaviour strategies.
• Provide pastoral support as a Form Tutor and contribute to student wellbeing.
