Job summary

Astro Education is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join our partnerships for the upcoming academic year. The role involves teaching students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, plus Functional Skills English, with a focus on raising attainment.

Starting in September on a permanent, full-time basis, the post offers a competitive daily rate (£185.57–£248.61 DOE) paid to scale from day one, and includes access to CPD and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• Qualified English Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including Functional Skills English.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team and support SEN students.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to KS3-5 and Functional Skills English.
• Contribute to planning and raising student attainment across the academic year.

About the Opportunity

Required Experience

• Experienced teaching English to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 students.
• Hold QTS or equivalent.
• Be flexible, patient and adaptable.
• Be able to communicate effectively within a team.
• Will to take on full teaching responsibilities.
• Open to or have experience of working with a variety of SEN.
• Be able to work core school hours.
