Job summary

The Supply Register is partnering with Birley Academy in Sheffield to provide a passionate Secondary English Teacher for flexible supply roles. You will deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapt plans for diverse learners and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have strong knowledge of the English curriculum, and can manage classrooms effectively while maintaining high standards of student engagement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary English curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield to recruit a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to support the school on a flexible supply basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English Teacher looking for flexible teaching work within a supportive secondary school environment.

We are looking for teachers with strong subject knowledge who can deliver engaging English lessons and help students develop their reading, writing and analytical skills across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities
