Kedleston Group Ltd's Oakbridge School in Birmingham is seeking an English Teacher to deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3/4 pupils, including those with EHCPs. You will plan, adapt and embed reading, writing and oracy across learning, assess progress and provide clear targets.

You will join a supportive, specialist environment dedicated to autistic children, with ongoing professional development and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion. QTS and SEND experience are valued.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent.
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC.
  • Teaching experience delivering the English National Curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

Established in 2018, Oakbridge School is an independent special day school in Birmingham with a specially designed learning environment created to meet the needs of autistic children. In November 2025, Oakbridge School moved into its newly developed site in Handsworth Wood, further enhancing our specialist facilities and educational provision.We provide a calm, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow.

Oakbridge School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
