Job summary

Arc School Ansley is seeking a motivated PE and Outdoor Education Teacher to lead engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 and support pupils with SEND and ASC. Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience of teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and inspiring PE and Outdoor Education Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.

What you’ll be doing as a PE and Outdoor Education Teacher:

• Lead and deliver engaging PE and Outdoor Education lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, using data and feedback to support achievement and continuous improvement
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour, wellbeing and personal development
• Support pupils with SEND and safeguarding needs, working collaboratively with the SENCo, DSL and wider school team to ensure appropriate support.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, educational visits, parents' evenings and ongoing school improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A qualification in SEND education is desirable
• Experience of teaching PE at KS3 and KS4
• Experience of working with children and young people with SEND and ASC
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods

Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
