Job summary

Aspire People is assisting a welcoming and ambitious Bedford secondary school to recruit a passionate English teacher. You will join a supportive English department where a love of literature and language sits at the heart of teaching and learning.

The role involves teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience desirable but not essential. You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress and contribute to enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Is committed to raising achievement and inspiring a love of English.
• Has strong communication skills and a positive, professional approach.
