Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a Secondary SEN Teacher (English) in Shrewsbury. You will teach English to secondary pupils within a specialist SEN setting, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and supporting pupils with a range of SEN.

The role is full-time and long-term, with potential for permanency for the right candidate. Ideally you hold QTS with a strong English background, experience in SEN, and a nurturing, patient approach to helping pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with an English specialism and SEN experience.
• Experience teaching at secondary level with pupils who have SEN.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to secondary pupils in a specialist SEN setting.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support as required.
• Collaborate with support staff and SEN team to support development.
