Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support English and Maths in a thriving secondary school with a sixth form in Norfolk. This full-time, long-term opportunity offers an immediate start and the chance to work closely with teachers to raise attainment.

Ideal candidates will have strong literacy and numeracy, good communication abilities, and a patient, adaptable approach with a commitment to safeguarding and building positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students in English and Maths lessons.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Help students develop confidence and independence in core subjects.
• Provide targeted intervention support where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
