The Supply Register, in partnership with West Lancashire College, seeks an English Lecturer to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills to FE learners. Plan engaging lessons, assess progress and support learners to achieve their qualifications.

The ideal candidate holds an English degree and a recognised teaching qualification, with experience delivering GCSE/Functional Skills, strong classroom management, DBS Update Service, and a passion for helping diverse learners succeed.

Qualifications

• Holds a relevant English degree or equivalent subject qualification.
• Holds a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma in Education or equivalent).
• Has experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.

The Supply Register is working in partnership with West Lancashire College to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Lecturer to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills English to further education learners.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English specialist who can engage learners, deliver high-quality lessons and support students in achieving their academic goals.

About the Role

As an English Lecturer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging GCSE and Functional Skills English lessons to learners across the college. You will help students develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, supporting them to build confidence and achieve their qualifications.
