Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with West Lancashire College, is seeking an English Lecturer to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills to FE learners. You will plan engaging lessons, support reading, writing, speaking and listening, and help students achieve their qualifications.

You will monitor progress, provide feedback, adapt teaching to diverse needs, and collaborate with colleagues to support student progression across the college.

Qualifications

• Holds a relevant English degree or equivalent.
• Holds a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma in Education or equivalent).
• Has experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.

About the Role

As an English Lecturer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging GCSE and Functional Skills English lessons to learners across the college. You will help students develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, supporting them to build confidence and achieve their qualifications.
