We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher who can contribute to a calm, safe, and stimulating environment while delivering a flexible and differentiated curriculum. You'll be joining a highly supportive team committed to educating the whole child.
As a teacher, you will:
Work under the direction of the Head Teacher and Deputy Head (Education).
Deliver and review individualised learning programmes tailored to pupils' educational, emotional, and social development.
Maintain strong, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage positive behaviour and resilience.
Assess and report on pupil progress while supporting their emotional well-being.
Contribute to curriculum development, classroom management, and school improvement plans.
Collaborate with key staff, including Senior Leaders, Pastoral Team, and Teaching Assistants.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality lessons.
Support preparation for public examinations and contribute to curriculum reviews.
Promote positive behaviour and implement the school's Behaviour Management Policy.
Participate in safeguarding duties and follow school safeguarding procedures.
Complete reports and assessments in line with statutory requirements and internal policies.
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Strong subject and Key Stage knowledge.
Ability to teach pupils with varied abilities and behavioural needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented and emotionally resilient.
Desirable:
Experience teaching students with SEMH/ASD.
Specialist qualification in Special Education.
Experience working in residential or specialist settings.
Familiarity with EHCPs and Looked After Children (LAC) processes.
