English Graduate Teaching Assistant, Enfield

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking English graduates with a keen interest in education to join a secondary school in Enfield. We are looking for individuals who have excelled in English at GCSE and A-level, and who hold a degree in an English-related field. This role offers an opportunity to support students and potentially train to become teachers in the future.

As an English teaching assistant, you will work with students aged 11-16, providing support, continuity, and positive role modeling. Your responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the class teacher and students during lessons
2. Building rapport with students with specific needs and implementing strategies to support their learning
3. Providing 1:1 English tuition sessions in your subject area
4. Running intervention groups to improve students' knowledge

Support and training will be provided by experienced consultants, our Training and Development Team, and the school. Additionally, a series of free CPD sessions are available.

The role involves full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am to finish (exact time to be confirmed). You will also be required to run an after-school club once a week and attend departmental meetings. The position is paid at GBP 100 per day, with potential for permanency.
