Job summary

Weston College is seeking a Technician to provide technical support to staff and students in our Engineering department. You will help manage workshops and safely set up and prepare learning activities.

You will clean, maintain and repair equipment, keep an inventory of tools and materials, and advise staff to ensure stocks are maintained. A sound knowledge of Health and Safety within the workshops is required, with regular checks to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety within workshops.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Up to date knowledge of Engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff and students in the Engineering department.
• Assist in management of workshops and safely set up learning activities.
• Clean, maintain and repair equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials and advise staff to ensure stocks are maintained.
