Job summary

Weston College is seeking a Technician to provide technical support to staff and students in our Engineering department. You will help manage workshops and safely set up and prepare learning activities.

You will clean, maintain and repair equipment, keep an inventory of tools and materials, and advise staff to ensure stocks are maintained. A sound knowledge of Health and Safety within the workshops is required, with regular checks to uphold safety standards.

• Up to date knowledge of Engineering practices.

Job description

As a Technician, you will provide technical support to both the staff and students within our Engineering department. You will assist in the management of workshops and will safely set up and prepare learning activities as well as cleaning, maintaining and repairing equipment within these areas. You will also maintain an inventory of all relevant equipment and materials and will advise staff to ensure that these stocks are maintained. A good knowledge of Health and Safety within the workshops will be required, as you will be required to undertake regular checks on relevant equipment and will provide supervision to ensure that work and safety standards are being maintained.
