COLLEGE OF WEST ANGLIA in Wisbech is seeking a Teaching Support Officer to support day-to-day operation of our Engineering workshops and assist the teaching team.

You will contribute to maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment where students develop practical skills and industry knowledge, with opportunities to progress into teaching within the FE sector. The role offers a supportive team and a strong training culture.

The Engineering team is seeking to recruit a Teaching Support Officer (TSO) to support the day-to-day operation and effective running of our well-equipped Engineering workshops.

The ideal candidate will have a sound general knowledge of the Engineering industry, a practical and proactive approach, and a positive “can-do” attitude. They will play an important role in supporting the teaching team and helping to maintain a safe, engaging and immersive learning environment in which our students can develop their practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career within further education. Working closely with experienced teaching staff will provide valuable insight into the teaching and learning environment and could provide a potential stepping stone towards a future teaching role.

We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Engineering team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
